Identification and alleviation pathways of multidimensional poverty and relative poverty in counties of China

To realize efficient and sustainable poverty alleviation, this study firstly investigated the identification of multidimensional relative poverty, then explored relevant alleviation pathways. Poverty levels in 31 provinces including autonomous regions municipalities China were identified at county level using average nighttime light index (ANLI), development (CMDI), a method combining standards. pathways for poverty-stricken counties from aspects industry, education, tourism agriculture. The results revealed that nearly 60% primarily under most which corresponded to poverty. In terms ANLI CMDI, 63% 79% national counties, as 2018, could be identified, suggesting CMDI had higher performance identifying level. pathways, 414, 172, 442, 298 receptive industry education agriculture 61% more poverty-causing factors, implying is suitable counties.
